Back in the UK we've been thinking positive
thoughts and training hard and long in preparation for the annual Blenheim Palace half
marathon, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
The race took place on a gorgeous autumn morning in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside and our four-strong team did themselves (and
their shirts) proud as they ate up the 21km (13 miles) of Capability Brown's parkland in
very respectable times.
"You are Positive Energy!" shouted one enthusiastic onlooker - and in a second all those weeks of 5km, 10km and 20km training runs seemed very worthwhile.
A few weeks earlier, Positive Energy colours were out in force on the Shakespeare 100 Sportive, a 100km (62 miles) cycle ride around the Bard's country, for Macmillan Cancer Support. Our plucky +E representative stepped up from zero to hero, cracking his first medium-distance ride in a whisker over four hours.
So that's the running and the cycling out of the way - just the swim now to complete our +E triathlon! Any volunteers?
