Team +ENERGY gets a great new look

Our South African road riders are sure to catch the eye with a brand-new cycle design for Summer 2015/2016.

Look out for the black and the green on the roads over the next few months as we cross the country spreading the Positivity.

Team +ENERGY just keeps on pedalling...

2015 has been a great year so far for the Team +ENERGY Finish Line riders in South Africa. Our riders have clocked up hundreds of tough kilometers, achieved some great results and picked up plenty of personal bests along the way.

Highlights have included the Serengeti Road Race where we finished 1st, 3rd and 5th; the 102km Emperor's Palace Classic; and the 1500km Sun City to Table Bay Charity Cycle Tour.

The video on the left features footage from the Charity Cycle Tour. Keep your eyes out for the +ENERGY riders at 11:39!

Clifford Ogle gets off to a positive start!

Saturday 21 February saw a triumphant return to the racetrack for +E’s Superbike rider Clifford Ogle at the Thunder Bikes series. Clifford previously raced in the Brunch Run series until being promoted from Class C to Class B last year and is raring to go with positive thoughts fuelled by none other than our very own Positive Energy!

The Thunder Bike series calendar continues throughout 2015. Keep up to date with Clifford's progress by following his blog.

Team +Energy at Max Speed!

Positive Energy is proud to support Max Speed Motorsport's participation in national, regional, club and entry-level karting in South Africa, helping customers and factory drivers to compete at the highest level.

At the recent Zwartkops Raceway event Max Speed drivers were at the front of the pack, with wins, top three heat finishes and great performances in all classes.

Success continued at the National Rotax Max Challenge event with top six finishes in the all-new Flandria kart - the first time this model has been raced in South Africa.

Two More on Two Wheels for Team +Energy

Positive Energy's momentum continues to build in South Africa with the addition of two new superbike riders to Team +E.

Janine Davies (left, top) is the first woman to race in the South African Super GP series and is enjoying a successful 2014, standing fourth in the championship standings after four races. Janine races the number 79 BMW S1000 RR and had a great start to the season with two podium finishes at the first race in Free State.

We're also thrilled to be supporting three-time (2010 - 2012) South African superbike champion Greg Gildenhuys (left, bottom).

Meanwhile, Clifford Ogle continued his excellent season with a second place in the recent Brunchrun event at Zwartkops Raceway, which moved him to second in the championship.

Our fingers are crossed for a very Positive end to the year for Janine and Clifford. May Positive Energy give you wins!

Cropredy FC wearing Positive Energy Kit

Positively up for the cups (and the league)

A big congratulations to Positive Energy’s very own Cropredy FC for taking the Oxfordshire Sam Waters Sunday Cup with a 3-1 victory over North Oxford Conservative Club.

Cropredy went into the game on the back of six consecutive league wins with a positively staggering +40 goal difference!

Next in their sights is the league, which they are one win away from clinching - and then another THREE cup finals before the end of the season...

All the best to the green-and-blacks from all at Positive Energy HQ. May the Energy be with you!

Clifford Ogle drinking Positive Energy

Superbike rider Clifford Ogle joins Team +Energy!

Positive Energy is excited to announce that it will be teaming up with Superbike rider Clifford Ogle who will be competing in this year’s Brunch Run 2014 series in South Africa!

Following on from an impressive 2013 which saw Clifford make the jump from class C to class B and finish 3rd in the overall standings he is positively raring to go for the upcoming series.

We asked Clifford to say a few words about his new partnership with Team +Energy.

"I am very excited to be fuelled by Positive Energy this season. By looking at the Positive Energy cycling team and the show they put on it is awesome to be to be a part of the team and it is a privilege to be representing the brand in doing what I love. There is a saying in pit lane that you can’t really consider yourself a real racer if you don’t have energy drink sponsor and I am happy to be scratched off the non-racer list!"

Clifford will be helping us spread the positivity throughout the South African Superbike scene and you can catch him at Zwartkops, Red Star, Phaskisa and Kyalami raceway in the coming months.

Team Positive Energy at the 94.7 Cycle Challenge

Team +Energy debuts in the 94.7 Cycle Challenge

Not to be outdone by their colleagues in the UK, the Positive Energy crew in South Africa recently took on the annual Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge in Johannesburg.

Our team of 10 riders was among a record 31,000 cycling for fitness, for themselves, for a challenge or for a purpose – and they did themselves proud, with no fewer than eight recording personal best times over the 94.7km course in scorching temperatures.

Our Positive Energy cyclewear was on display for the first time and drew some very positive reactions from the crowd, not least from Arnold Geetz, the presenter of TV's Super Cycling.

The race was won by Willie Smit of the Bonitas team, with our own Llewelyn Mulder Jnr heading up Team +Energy with an impressive time of 2:45.

National Burns Association of South Africa

Spreading the word about Zero Burns

Positive Energy supports Acoustic Garden, a series of exclusive up close and personal concerts held to raise funds for causes which make someone's life that much better. The concerts are an extended invitation to friends – and friends of friends - to provide a unique day of personalised entertainment.

The most recent concert raised funds for the National Burns Association of South Africa. We were delighted to donate from the sales of Positive Energy to help fund a media prevention programme around burn safety which will culminate in a national “Zero Burns Week” and an education programme aimed at underprivileged audiences.

Positive Energy Blenheim Palace half marathon

Positively energetic!

Back in the UK we've been thinking positive thoughts and training hard and long in preparation for the annual Blenheim Palace half marathon, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The race took place on a gorgeous autumn morning in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside and our four-strong team did themselves (and their shirts) proud as they ate up the 21km (13 miles) of Capability Brown's parkland in very respectable times.

"You are Positive Energy!" shouted one enthusiastic onlooker - and in a second all those weeks of 5km, 10km and 20km training runs seemed very worthwhile.

A few weeks earlier, Positive Energy colours were out in force on the Shakespeare 100 Sportive, a 100km (62 miles) cycle ride around the Bard's country, for Macmillan Cancer Support. Our plucky +E representative stepped up from zero to hero, cracking his first medium-distance ride in a whisker over four hours.

So that's the running and the cycling out of the way - just the swim now to complete our +E triathlon! Any volunteers?

A helping hand for Impilo

Bigger, better, more!

We all know that the best things come in big packages (and in multipacks) – so we’re particularly pleased to see our 440ml and 4x250ml packs flying off the shelves in South Africa.

The 440ml brings the same great taste and refreshment as its little brother – but delivers more energy, just when you need it.

And what better way to earn the respect and admiration of your friends than sharing a multipack of Positive Energy? Pass on the positivity – and while you’re doing that, don’t forget to enter t our photo competition to win +E goodies!

Check the multipack wrapper or visit our Facebook page.

Impilo is a Johannesburg-based child protection and adoption agency which cares for and protects orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children. Now in its tenth year, Impilo (a Zulu word meaning "life") has supported over 2,000 children and families.

Our friend Lee-Ann Van Der Walt introduced us to Impilo and to the great work that goes on there and we were keen to get involved. The Impilo orphanage was in need of redecoration so Positive Energy was delighted to supply the paint - and the painters!

Thanks to everyone for taking part! Next time, it could be you taking home a positively fabulous prize!
